Badlands Teepee
This is an illustration of a teepee located at the visitor's center in Badlands National Park.
It was inspired by a photo that we took while on vacation in South Dakota.
Phoenix Rising
The mythical phoenix dies in the flames and is reborn from the ashes. This one was actually born because we needed a bird with Mexican, Asian and Indian influences.
The bird, as well as its many ornaments are, like all of our illustrations, hand-drawn.
Duck Hunter
The Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge in eastern Montana typically doesn't allow hunting but it is where we saw this incredible sunset.
The image of the duck hunter was created from a photo of one of our family members who is a die-hard bird hunter.
Car, Trailer & Hot Rod
In our opinion, cars from back in the day held a beauty that can't be found nowadays.
The top image, of a station wagon and trailer was created for a vintage-style greeting card.
The bottom image is, naturally, a hot rod.
Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore has carved out its place as a national icon. This illustration was created from a photo we took while on vacation in South Dakota.
We were lucky enough to see the beginning of a lightning storm heading straight toward George & Co.
Friendly Animals
Created for a children's birthday card, this is an illustration of several different jungle animals.
They were all designed to be less than realistic, instead invoking a friendly sort of animal that would appeal to children rather than eat them.
Seattle Landmarks
Ah, the city we love. Featuring several elements that distinguish Seattle: the Space Needle (colored in its original orange), Mount Rainier in the background, a seaplane, and a couple of our favorite buildings (Smith Tower and what was formerly known as the Washington Mutual Tower).
Birds
Birds are hot right now. With the rise of Twitter, every website seems to have a little bird icon on it, asking you to follow its Tweets.
By the way, we may not have the bird icon, but we Tweet a bit ourselves here and there.
University of Montana
The University of Montana in Missoula is one of the nation's most picturesque campuses.
Mount Sentinel looms in the background and Main Hall stands watch at the head of The Oval. And, of course, a river runs through it – the Clark Fork.
